Tamar Daskin

Tamar Daskin serves as the Assistant Dean of Students and Associate Director of Academic Planning and Technology Resources at The University of Chicago since August 2017, bringing extensive experience in academic advising and student services. Previous roles include Academic Adviser and Assistant Dean of Students at the same institution, as well as a Graduate Intern at Northwestern University’s Department of Chemistry, focusing on program administration and student services. Additionally, Tamar worked as a Part Time Academic Advisor at the Illinois Institute of Technology, guiding graduate business students through their academic pathways. Tamar’s background also includes freelance work as a Theatre Technician in Chicago. Educational qualifications include a Master's of Science in Higher Education Administration and Policy from Northwestern University and a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre with a concentration in Tech and Design from Oberlin College.
