Alicia Bruce is a seasoned professional in photography and education, currently serving as an Advisory Board Member for Travelling Gallery since June 2023. As a Teaching Fellow, Alicia holds positions at both Edinburgh College of Art and The University of Edinburgh since 2019 and has been the Founder of Portobello Photography School since April 2019, where supportive photography workshops are offered. With twenty years of professional photography experience and over a decade in teaching, Alicia has showcased solo exhibitions such as "Violence Unseen" at Stills in 2018 and has participated in numerous group exhibitions and touring projects worldwide. Notable past roles include being a photographer and freelance gallery educator for National Galleries of Scotland from 2009 to 2020 and a course tutor at Street Level Photoworks. Alicia's educational background includes a BA (Hons) in Photography, Film and Imaging from Edinburgh Napier University and an HND in Professional Photography from North East Scotland College.
