Hugh Mitchell

Hugh Mitchell was Chief HR & Corporate Officer of Royal Dutch Shell from 2005 to 2016 as part of a 37 year international career with the energy company. His experience included global responsibility for Real Estate, External Communications, Health, Security, and International Government Relations. Hugh is a globally recognised HR leader and has served on the Boards of The Centre for Advanced Human Resources (Cornell University) and the IMD Business School (Lausanne). He was also a Non Executive Director of RSA Insurance (London). Hugh is currently Vice Chair of Edinburgh Business School and acts as a strategic adviser to the Corporate Research Forum (London). He is also Vice Chair of the Port of Cromarty Firth. Hugh is a Graduate of Edinburgh University where he studied History.
