Richard Hill

After qualifying as a Chartered Production Engineer and working in the manufacturing industry, Richard's career in higher education commenced in 2000 at Sheffield Hallam University. He has held a number of academic teaching, research, and academic management posts over the last 17 years.

In 2010 he joined the University of Derby as Head of Subject, Computing, with a remit to renew the existing academic portfolio and develop the School’s first submission to an external research assessment exercise (REF2014). In 2011, the Mathematics scheme was added to the School. In 2014 the School became a department within the new College of Engineering and Technology.

In 2017 Richard joined the University of Huddersfield as Head of the Department of Informatics.
