Shane Stecklein currently serves as an Assistant Professor of Radiation Oncology at The University of Kansas Cancer Center since July 2019, while also advising on healthcare analytics at McKinsey & Company since December 2015. Prior experience includes a residency in Radiation Oncology at MD Anderson Cancer Center from July 2015 to June 2019 and serving as an Associate Member Council for the American Association for Cancer Research from April 2015 to April 2018. Shane's training included an internship at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston and an MD/PhD program at the University of Kansas Medical Center, where an emphasis was placed on pathology and cancer biology. Educational credentials include a Medical Doctor and a Ph.D. in Cancer Biology from the University of Kansas Medical Center, alongside a Bachelor of Science in Cell Biology from The University of Kansas. Research focused on the APC tumor suppressor gene in the context of colorectal cancer.
