Sufi Thomas is an accomplished academic in the field of cancer research, currently serving as an Associate Professor at the University of Kansas Medical Center since July 2013. In addition, Sufi Thomas has held the position of Co-Leader of the Cancer Biology Program at The University of Kansas Cancer Center since October 2019. Prior to these roles, Sufi Thomas was a Research Assistant Professor at the University of Pittsburgh from August 2004 to June 2013. Sufi Thomas earned a PhD in Applied Biology from the University of Mumbai, followed by post-doctoral studies in cancer research at the University of Pittsburgh from 2000 to 2004.
