Wendy Stires

Wendy Stires has a diverse work experience spanning several organizations. Wendy began their career in 2000 at the American Heart Association, where they served as the Executive Director until 2009. From 2009 to 2012, they held the position of Director of Development at the University of New Mexico and also worked as the Director of Development - School of Medicine during this time. In 2012, they transitioned to the University of New Mexico Foundation, initially serving as the Director of Development and later taking on the role of Associate VP Principal Giving and Regional Development until June 2020. Wendy then held the position of Senior Associate Vice President, Principal Giving at the University of New Mexico Foundation from June 2020 to November 2021. Wendy most recently retired from Life in July 2021.
