Bernadette Richards serves as an Associate Professor of Ethics and Professionalism at the University of Queensland's Medical School since March 2022. Prior to this role, Bernadette was a Senior Scientist at the Singapore-ETH Centre from June 2021 to March 2022, focusing on trustworthy data governance in health technologies and addressing ethical and regulatory challenges. Bernadette's extensive academic career includes serving as an Associate Professor of Law at the University of Adelaide and Adelaide Law School from March 1999 to March 2022. Bernadette obtained a Doctor of Philosophy in Law from the University of Adelaide between 2008 and 2011, an LLB (Hons) from James Cook University from 1995 to 1998, and a Bachelor of Arts along with a Diploma of Education from the University of New England between 1983 and 1986.
