Darren Reichel

Darren Reichel has extensive experience in IT management at The University of Queensland, where positions held include Manager of the Application Administration Group and Manager of the Microsoft Services Group since January 1998. Darren successfully led teams in providing vital Microsoft and Citrix-based application services, achieving milestones such as zero downtime during the migration to a 33,000 seat Exchange 2013 Mail service and the implementation of a high-availability SQL geo-cluster. Other roles included Team Leader for Microsoft Services Group and Senior Systems Engineer, focusing on IT service roadmaps, disaster recovery, and virtualization initiatives. Earlier experience includes IT support roles at Brisbane Catholic Education and SureNet Services, where essential directory service installations and web development for many Catholic colleges were completed. Education was obtained from Griffith University from 1993 to 1997.
