Dinesha Weragama

Dinesha Weragama has a diverse range of work experience spanning several companies and roles. Currently, they hold the position of Senior Principal Enterprise Applications Systems Administrator at The University of Queensland. Prior to this, they served as a Team Leader for HRIS Operations at the same company. They also held the role of Principal IT Officer - HR Information Systems. Additionally, Dinesha has experience as an Analyst Programmer at Queensland University of Technology and as an IT Developer at CANSTAR. They have also worked as a Sessional Academic at both Queensland University of Technology and University of Peradeniya, where they held the position of Lecturer. Dinesha's earlier work experience includes roles such as Senior Analyst Programmer at John Keells Computer Services (Pvt.) Ltd. and Instructor/Shift Leader at IDM Computer Studies Private Limited.

Dinesha Weragama holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Computer Science from QUT (Queensland University of Technology), which was obtained from 2010 to 2013. Prior to that, they earned a B.Sc. (Eng) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Peradeniya, completing it from 1996 to 2000. In 1995-1996, they also completed the Australian Computer Society Examination in Computing at IDM Computer Studies (Pvt) Ltd. In terms of additional certifications, Dinesha has acquired various courses from LinkedIn and Lynda.com, such as Learning Puppet, Project Management Foundations, and Scrum-related trainings. Additionally, they hold the Certified Technologist certification from the Australian Computer Society, obtained in 2009.
