Kate Schroder

Laboratory Head at The University of Queensland

Kate Schroder serves as Laboratory Head at the Institute for Molecular Bioscience, University of Queensland, since January 2011, focusing on host-pathogen interactions and inflammation during infection. Schroder completed a PhD in Immunology in 2005, which examined innate immune signaling pathways in macrophages. Previous roles include NHMRC & IMB Fellow at the University of Lausanne and NHMRC Postdoctoral Fellow at the Institute for Molecular Bioscience. Early in her career, Schroder worked as a Post-doctoral Scientist at Vienna Biocenter and as a Visiting Scientist. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Molecular Biology and Immunology and Honours class I in Virology from The University of Queensland.
