Michael Heitzmann

Michael Heitzmann is an Associate Professor and Co-Director of the Centre for Advanced Materials Processing and Manufacturing at The University of Queensland, where expertise lies in composite materials and processes, particularly in short cycle-time manufacturing, biocomposites, and composite assembly technologies. With extensive experience as a Senior Research Engineer at ACS Australia Pty Ltd, Michael leads projects focused on plant fiber biocomposites and the development of composite structures, emphasizing repair, mechanical testing, and joining techniques.
