Stefan Baier

Stefan Baier, Ph.D., is the Founder and CEO of PlaFooTex Consulting LLC, where expertise in food and beverage innovation is leveraged to drive growth in the CPG, SME, and start-up sectors, emphasizing texture and mouthfeel as key factors in product development. With over 20 years of experience, Stefan also serves as an Adjunct Associate Professor at The University of Queensland's School of Chemical Engineering and holds editorial roles with Wiley-Blackwell and Elsevier’s Journal of Texture Studies and Biotribology, respectively. Previous positions include Chief Science Officer at Aqua Cultured Foods, Head of Food Science & Technology at Bühler Group, and Senior Director for Food Science at Motif FoodWorks, along with a notable tenure as R&D Fellow at PepsiCo. Academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Food Science from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, along with various international scholarly experiences.
