Stephanie Gilbert serves as the Associate Dean (Indigenous Engagement) and Associate Professor in the Faculty of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences at The University of Queensland since February 2020. Prior experience includes roles as a Fulbright Postdoctoral Scholar at the American Indian Studies Center at UCLA and a researcher at the Gomeroi gaaynggal Centre, as well as significant positions at The University of Newcastle, where responsibilities included program coordination and management of academic staff at The Wollotuka Institute. Stephanie holds multiple doctoral degrees in History from the University of Newcastle and degrees in Social Work and Women's Studies from James Cook University and Deakin University, respectively.
