Andrew Crawford

Andrew Crawford is an experienced technical manager in the field of chemistry and materials science. Currently serving as the School Technical Manager at The University of Sheffield since November 2014, Andrew oversees technical divisions and infrastructure in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering. Prior to this role, Andrew was the Technical Manager at Newcastle University's School of Chemistry from May 2007 to October 2014, responsible for managing operations in mechanical, electronics, and glassblowing workshops. Andrew's earlier career at Durham County Council Scientific Services spanned from January 1991 to April 2007, where roles included Senior Scientist and Scientist, focusing on analytical report writing, method development, and testing samples for compliance. Education includes a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry / Environmental Chemistry from Northumbria University, complemented by a HNC in Chemistry and a BTEC in Chemistry from New College Durham.
