Matthew Marshall

Matthew Marshall serves as the Deputy Vice President for Education at The University of Sheffield since February 2022, following a tenure as Professor of Tribology in the Department of Mechanical Engineering from 2012 to 2022, where Matthew also held roles such as Centre Director for the Industrial Doctorate Centre in Machining Science and Faculty Director of Student Recruitment and Admissions for Engineering. Additionally, Matthew's experience includes positions as Senior Lecturer from 2008 to 2012 and Project Manager at the Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre from 2006 to 2008. Matthew earned a PhD in Tribology and an MEng (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Sheffield, completing these degrees in 2005 and 2002, respectively.
