Samar Mahmood

Samar Mahmood is a seasoned medical professional with extensive experience in various roles within the healthcare sector. Currently serving as a General Practitioner Trainer at Health Education England and a PLAB 2 Examiner at the General Medical Council, Samar has also held the position of Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer at The University of Sheffield since 2017. A General Practitioner Partner at NHS Yorkshire and the Humber since 2015, Samar additionally works as a Medical Advisor for ITV and operates as a Freelance Medical Writer. Previous experience includes serving as a Hospice Practitioner at Barnsley Hospice. Samar holds a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MB ChB) from The University of Sheffield and is a Member of the Royal College of General Practitioners (MRCGP) following completion of a Family Medicine Residency Program between 2012 and 2015.
