Alex Scrimpshire

Alex Scrimpshire is currently an Assistant Professor of Management at The University of Southern Mississippi, focusing research on employee motivation and the effects of positive mindsets on employees and entrepreneurs. Teaching a variety of management and human resource courses, including Compensation and Training & Development, Alex has a solid background in academia, previously serving as an Assistant Professor of Management and Entrepreneurship at Xavier University and as a PhD student and Research Assistant at Oklahoma State University. Earlier career experiences include a role as a Graduate Information Specialist at the University of Mississippi, where Alex conducted research for various programs, and teaching high school math and coaching at West Union Attendance Center. Alex holds a PhD in Organizational Behavior Studies from Oklahoma State University, an MBA from the University of Mississippi, and a B.S. in Telecommunications Engineering from the same institution.
