Timothy Gutmann

Timothy Gutmann is currently serving as an Assistant Professor of Philosophy and Religion at The University of Southern Mississippi, specializing in Islamic and East Asian thought, art, and politics since June 2023. Prior to this role, Timothy Gutmann has been a Graduate Student at the University of Chicago since September 2011, completing a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Religion/Religious Studies (2011-2019) and a Master of Arts (M.A.) in the same field (2009-2011). Earlier academic achievements include a Bachelor's Degree in History, Philosophy, and Religion from Boston University (2003-2007).
