Michael Owens

Michael Owens currently serves as the Assistant Dean of Graduate Programs at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, a position held since August 2007. Owens has extensive leadership experience, having previously been President of Coverdell from 1990 to 2008 and Chief Operations Officer at both Monumental and Aegon between 1983 and 1989. Earlier in the career, Owens was a Manager at Ernst & Young from December 1978 to December 1983. Owens holds an MBA in Business from Loyola University Maryland, attained between 1986 and 1988, and a BS in Accounting from The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, earned from 1976 to 1979.
