The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga
Sybil Baker currently serves as the UC Foundation Professor and Director of the Meacham Workshops at The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, where involvement includes directing the Meacham Writers' Workshop. Additionally, Sybil has been a part of the faculty at the Yale Writers Conference since June 2012 and was visiting faculty for the Low Residency MFA program at City University of Hong Kong from July 2011 to December 2015. Previous positions include serving as the Fiction Editor for Drunken Boat from December 2011 to May 2015 and as a lecturer in the Department of English at Yonsei University in Seoul, South Korea, from September 1999 to June 2007, where courses included writing and rhetoric. Earlier teaching experience consists of roles at Hanyang University from September 1996 to August 1999. Sybil's educational background includes an MFA in Writing from Vermont College of the Fine Arts, an MA in English from the University of Colorado Boulder, and a BA in Communication Studies from Virginia Tech.
