Kathryn Coombes

Kathryn Coombes is an experienced internist at Summit Medical Group since August 2021, concurrently serving as a third-year internal medicine resident at The University of Tennessee Graduate School of Medicine since July 2018. Previous roles include swim instructor at Sunsational Swim School, where lessons were conducted for a wide age range, and trainer for outpatient medical scribes at Emergency Medicine Scribe Systems, focusing on real-time documentation across various medical specialties. Kathryn co-founded and co-captained the Women's Club Water Polo at UCSB, showcasing leadership skills, and has a diverse background in recreational sports as a lifeguard and water polo referee. Educational credentials include a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) from the American University of the Caribbean and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Biological Science from UC Santa Barbara, along with study abroad experience in nursing in Chile.
