Anne C. Elster

Anne C. Elster is a distinguished academic with extensive experience in computer and information science, currently serving as a Professor and Associate Professor at NTNU since January 2001, where Anne C. also directs the Heterogeneous and Parallel Computing Lab. Elster has held various leadership roles at NTNU, including serving as a Board Member and section head in the department. Additionally, Elster is a Senior Research Fellow and Visiting Scientist at the University of Texas at Austin for the 2023/24 academic year. Past roles include Distinguished Visitors Program Speaker for the IEEE Computer Society and research and teaching positions at multiple institutions, including Cornell University, Schlumberger, and IBM. Elster earned a PhD and MSc in Electrical Engineering from Cornell University and a BSc in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
