Chun Kuo

Chun Kuo is a professional in intellectual property management with extensive experience in both academia and the technology sector. Currently, as the Director of Intellectual Property Development at The University of Texas at Austin since February 2022, Chun oversees a team that supports patent and copyright portfolios, licensing opportunities, and technology licensing programs for the university and Dell Medical School. Previously, Chun held several significant roles at Hewlett Packard Enterprise from November 2015 to February 2022, including Director & Associate General Counsel for IP Analysis and Support, leading teams that developed and maintained the company's patent portfolio and conducted critical analyses related to IP disputes and mergers. Chun's career at HP spanned from June 2007 to October 2015, where roles included IP Analysis and Support Director and Senior Patent Counsel, focusing on patent monetization, portfolio management, and patent prosecution. Chun's academic credentials include a JD in Patent Law from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law and a BS in Computer Science from The University of Texas at Austin.
