Cydny Black

Cydny Black is a seasoned marketing and public relations professional currently serving as the Marketing and PR Lead (Director) at The University of Texas at Austin since May 2023, where strategic communications and community development in computer science education are primary focuses. Previously, Cydny held various roles, including Research Manager at Illuminas, where project management for B2B and B2C research was key, and Account Supervisor at Bloom Communications, responsible for executing marketing and PR campaigns while mentoring creative teams. Cydny's experience also includes a Research Analyst position at Altarum, and a Program Associate role at TESOL International Association, showcasing a strong foundation in research, communications strategy, and event management. Cydny holds an M.A. in International Communication from American University and a Bachelor of Arts in French and International Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
