Dimitri Higginbotham

DiMitri Higginbotham serves as the Director for the Center for Integrated Design and an Assistant Professor of Practice at The University of Texas at Austin since June 2022. Previously, DiMitri held the position of Makerspace and Design Thinking Teacher at Good Shepherd Episcopal School, where responsibilities included directing the makerspace and facilitating the integration of maker education and design thinking into the curriculum. Prior experience includes roles as Senior Teaching Lab Manager and Program Manager at Southern Methodist University, along with experience as a Graduate Research Assistant at Kennedale Independent School District, where DiMitri taught percussion and directed various bands. DiMitri holds a Master's degree in Design and Innovation from Southern Methodist University and a Bachelor of Arts in Instrumental Music from the University of North Texas.
