Pat Connor

Pat Connor currently serves as the Assistant Chief of Police and Assistant Vice President for Campus Security at The University of Texas at Austin. Previously, Pat held the position of Security and Safety Operations Manager at the Austin Convention Center and served a lengthy career at the Austin Police Department, including roles as Police Commander overseeing various divisions such as Homicide, Robbery, and Internal Affairs, as well as Lieutenant positions in the Organized Crime Division and Patrol Operations. Pat's experience also includes foundational roles as a Sergeant and Police Detective in organized crime and domestic violence cases, alongside early career experience as an Insurance Claims Adjustor at Farmers Insurance. Pat holds a Certified Public Manager degree and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Criminal Justice/Safety Studies from Texas State University, supplemented by education at San Antonio College.
