Pat Scherer

Pat Scherer is a Data Systems Engineer and Technical Program Manager at The University of Texas at Austin's Texas Advanced Computing Center since May 2015. In this role, Pat supports TACC's mission to advance scientific discoveries through advanced computing technologies and collaborates with research institutions such as the National Institute of Health on projects involving acute to chronic pain, childhood trauma, and medical biosample management. Prior to this, Pat served as Consulting Principal at The Detail Person, LLC, from November 2004 to April 2021, providing strategic consultation and product management for SaaS and mobile initiatives across varied clients, including Fortune 100 companies. Pat holds an M.B.A. in Operations, Statistics, and Finance from the University of North Texas, post-graduate certificates in Computer Science from The University of Texas at Austin, and a Bachelor's degree in Microbiology from the University of North Texas.
