Margaret Flanigan

Margaret (Meg) Flanigan currently serves as a Professor of Instruction and Assistant Dean of Assessment and Curriculum at The University of Texas at Dallas, a role that commenced in March 2023. Previously, Margaret held positions at The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine as an Education Resource Specialist focusing on outcomes and assessment from July 2022 to July 2023, and at Ohio University from January 2020 to July 2022 as a Professor of Instruction and Faculty Developer, where teaching and coaching of medical students were key responsibilities. Margaret's academic career began at the University of Wyoming, where from January 2003 to September 2019, multiple roles included lecturing in physiology and serving as Director of the Ellbogen Center for Teaching and Learning. Earlier experience includes work as a Clinical Scientist at Royal Papworth Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. Margaret holds a PhD in Physiology from the University of the Witwatersrand and a BSc Honors in Biochemistry from the University of Strathclyde.
