Tim Braun

Tim Braun is an experienced engineering professional currently serving as the Director of the Office of Research & Innovation at The University of Texas at Dallas since March 2024. Prior to this role, Tim held several significant positions, including Senior Engineering Manager at Salcomp Manufacturing USA, where successful onshoring of inverter manufacturing was achieved in under a year. Tim's career includes a tenure as Senior Principal Research and Development Engineer at Cardinal Glass Industries, contributing to innovations in energy-efficient glazing, and experience as a Senior Manufacturing Engineer at Circle Graphics. Additional roles at Infinite Power Solutions, Optera Inc, ITT Cannon, Displaytech Inc., CBW Automation, and Texas Instruments have solidified Tim's expertise in process engineering and manufacturing across various industries. Tim holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering Technology from Montana State University-Bozeman.
