Carlos Martinez

Carlos Martinez is the current Chief of Staff to the President at The University of Texas at San Antonio. Carlos was previously the Associate Vice President at The University of Texas at Austin from September 2010 to July 2016. Prior to that, they were the Assistant Vice Chancellor at The University of Texas System from June 2002 to August 2010. Carlos Martinez began their career as General Counsel for the Texas House of Representatives (The Honorable Pete P. Gallego) from March 1998 to June 2002.

Carlos Martinez began their educational career by earning a Doctor of Jursiprudence from The University of Texas at Austin. Carlos then went on to earn a BA/MS in Philosophy/Public Administration from St. Mary's University of San Antonio.
