Asia Bright

Asia Bright (McCleary-Gaddy), PhD, currently serves as the Director of Professionalism and Director of Diversity and Inclusion at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, where responsibilities include overseeing diversity initiatives and conducting education workshops on implicit bias and cultural humility. Prior roles include Director of Diversity & Equity at Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine, where Asia managed a significant budget and developed programs for underrepresented students. Asia's experience spans several institutions, including the Vermont Department of Health, where analytical contributions informed public health policy, and various research assistant roles at universities focused on diversity and mental health. Asia holds a PhD in Experimental Social Psychology and a Master of Arts in Psychological Science from the University of Vermont, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Rice University.
