Christina Solis

Christina Solis serves as the Director of IT Governance, Data, and Privacy at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth Houston) since March 2002, where responsibilities include leading the IT Data Governance division, ensuring compliance with regulations, and overseeing data management. Prior experience includes roles as Privacy Officer, Senior Legal Officer, and Legal Officer, where Christina developed privacy programs, represented the University in health care law, and coordinated HIPAA compliance. Christina's legal career began with an Associate Attorney position at Charles Bond & Associates and a Contract Attorney position at Calvin, Gibbs and Verner. Educational credentials include a Master of Public Health from UTHealth Houston, a JD from the University of Houston Law Center, and degrees in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics from both the University of Oxford and Pomona College.
