Stacey Napier

Stacey Napier is an experienced legal and government relations professional, currently serving as General Counsel to the Board of Regents and Vice Chancellor for Government Relations at The University of Texas System since November 2018. Previous roles include Executive Director at the Texas Department of Information Resources and Director of Administration for the Office of Texas Governor Greg Abbott. Napier's extensive career also includes significant positions at the Texas Attorney General's Office, where responsibilities encompassed overseeing administrative divisions and serving as a key liaison with the Texas Legislature. Early experience includes roles as Chief of Staff and General Counsel for Texas State Senator Florence Shapiro and Legislative Aide for Texas State Representative Kenn George. Napier holds a JD from SMU Dedman School of Law and a BA in Political Science from Louisiana State University.
