Hui Tong Chua

Hui Tong Chua is a seasoned academic and industry professional currently serving as the Head of Department and Professor at The University of Western Australia since July 2004. In April 2024, Hui Tong Chua became the President of the Asian Pacific Confederation of Chemical Engineering, after previously holding the position of Vice President. Hui Tong Chua also serves as a National Awards Committee Member at AIRAH and as Chief Scientific Officer at Ablano, a nano-technology company based in Perth. Additional roles include Non-Executive Director at Good Water Energy, CPD Assessor at the Institution of Chemical Engineers, and various leadership positions with Engineers Australia. Hui Tong Chua earned a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the National University of Singapore, where previous positions included Assistant Professor and Senior Tutor.
