Jesse Roberts

Jesse Roberts serves as the Student Engagement and Communications Officer at The University of Western Australia since January 2023, following a diverse career in communications and journalism. As a freelance photojournalist and photographer, Jesse provides local news coverage for prominent outlets such as ABC, SBS, The Conversation, and Buzzfeed, specializing in events and music photography. Previous roles include Customer Service Officer and day-to-day manager at the Shire of Halls Creek, Education Assistant and Gardener at Warlawurru Catholic School, and Senior Communications Advisor at Catholic Education Western Australia, where responsibilities encompassed internal communications, media relations, and videography. Jesse's early experience includes positions as a News Editor at Newzulu and internships at the US Consulate in Perth and the Fremantle Herald. Jesse holds a Bachelor's Degree in Politics, Communications, and Media from The University of Notre Dame Australia, completed in 2013.
