The Up Center, headquartered in Norfolk, Va., is the region's oldest and largest non-profit family services agency dedicated to helping people live better lives. Founded in 1883, the agency responds to the needs of our community's most vulnerable citizens by providing comprehensive, effective and innovative services in four core areas: Protecting our children, Strengthening families, Empowering people in crisis and Maximizing independence for those with disabilities. The Up Center has four locations throughout Hampton Roads and serves over 10,000 people each year.

The Clinical and Counseling Team at The Up Center provides comprehensive mental health services, including individual and group therapy, family counseling, and support for children and adolescents. Their goal is to address the mental health needs of the community, fostering resilience and well-being in children, families, and individuals through personalized care and innovative treatment approaches.

This team includes the Marketing Manager, who drives awareness and engagement; the Major Gifts Manager, who secures funding to support vital services; the Manager of Housing and Financial Stability Programs, who oversees financial counseling and housing initiatives; and the Senior Operations and Compliance Manager, who ensures operational efficiency and regulatory compliance. Together, they strategize, implement, and manage efforts to fulfill the organization's mission of empowering vulnerable citizens and strengthening families.
