Susan Mitchell

Susan Mitchell is an accomplished non-profit executive with extensive experience in leadership, strategic consulting, and interim executive roles. Currently leading Susan Mitchell Consulting since October 2016, Susan has served as a Senior Associate at The Valtas Group since January 2019, taking on various interim roles including Director of Operations and Chief Operating Officer for notable organizations. A notable journey in 2015 involved sailing 7,500 miles from Seattle to French Polynesia, marking a personal adventure. Previously, as Executive Director at College Access Now, Susan guided the organization from a grassroots phase to a sustainable and widely recognized entity, significantly enhancing funding relationships. With a solid background in development from positions at 10,000 Degrees, Hospice By The Bay, and Ritter Center, Susan's expertise in building relationships and organizations is well established, supported by a BA in Liberal Studies from Sonoma State University.
