Wendy George

Wendy George has had a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of media planning and buying. Wendy started their career in 1980 as a Media Planner and Buyer at Lewis, Gilman, & Kynett, where they worked on accounts such as Bell of Pennsylvania/Diamond State Telephone and the Pennsylvania State Lottery. Wendy then moved on to Long, Haymes and Carr, where they were a Senior Media Planner and Buyer, responsible for Wachovia Bank & Trust Corporation's advertising plans.

In 1985, Wendy joined Leo Burnett Company as a Media Supervisor, handling Kraft brands and overseeing national syndication TV goals. Wendy also worked on accounts like Clarion Cosmetics, Glad Ziploc and Trash Bags, and Kellogg's cereals. Wendy then became a Media Director at Jazz Communications in 1999, where they handled all advertising, direct marketing, and promotional plans for Bering Truck Corporation. Wendy also developed and launched a successful "Lease to Own" direct marketing program.

In 2002, Wendy started their own freelance consultancy, providing media and marketing services to various clients. Wendy worked with Rising Concept Furniture Company as a Media/Marketing Specialist and with the Chicago Botanic Garden as a Media/Marketing Consultant, where they developed annual tourism media plans and increased attendance.

Wendy then joined Media Placement Services, Inc. and Spider Digita in 2011 as a Senior Media Planner and Buyer. Here, they planned and negotiated store grand openings for Family Dollar Stores across the country and introduced them into the West Coast expansion plans.

From 2013 to 2015, Wendy worked at Trone Brand Energy as a Media Buyer/Planner, where they focused on the North Carolina Education Lottery and the successful launch of North State's Fiber services.

Most recently, Wendy joined The Variable in 2015 as a Senior Media Planner/Buyer. The duration of this role is not specified.
