Steven Smith

Steven Smith has extensive experience in data science and software development. Steven is currently working as a Principal Machine Learning Engineer at The Very Group, leading the Machine Learning and AI Platforms team. Prior to this, Steven worked as a Senior Data Scientist at Osprey Flight Solutions, where they were responsible for data analysis and recruitment. Before that, they held the position of Lead Data Scientist and Data Science Manager at L3Harris Commercial Aviation and L3Harris - Flight Data Services, leading teams in Flight Data Monitoring and Analysis. Steven also has experience as a Senior Software Developer at Solentim, a Contract Technical Lead at bet365, and a Lead Developer/Architect and Software Development Manager at EMR. Steven has further experience as a Contract Developer at G4S and HBOS Plc. Steven holds an Intelligent Systems MSc from De Montfort University, where they completed various projects using programming languages such as Python, Java, SAS, MATLAB, Prolog, and C++.

Steven Smith has a Master's Degree in Intelligent Systems from De Montfort University, which they obtained from 2015 to 2017. Before that, they completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Computing from The Open University in 2014-2015. Steven also holds a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics and Statistics from The Open University, earned from 2008 to 2013. Steven'sinitial Bachelor's Degree in Applied Computing was obtained from the University of East Anglia from 1990 to 1993. Additionally, Steven has obtained multiple certifications in various subjects, including Generative AI, Bayesian Statistics, Deep Learning, and many others, through institutions such as Coursera and LinkedIn.
