John Cavalcanti

John Cavalcanti has a diverse work experience in the veterinary and animal health industry. John is currently working as the Medical Director at The Vets. Prior to this role, they were the Talent Acquisition & Special Advisor at the same company. From 2014 to 2021, they served as the President/owner of Total Pet Solutions dba Two Dogs and a Cat Pet Club. In 2012, they joined Guide Dogs for the Blind, where they held various roles including VP of Medicine and Canine Operations and Director of Veterinary Operations. Before that, John worked as the Animal Health Industry Coordinator at Metropolitan Community College-Kansas City, focusing on developing industry-relevant courses and securing program accreditation. From 2007 to 2012, they worked as a Field Director at Banfield, The Pet Hospital, where they managed multiple clinic operations and implemented inventory management practices. John began their career as the Hospital Director at Stanley Veterinary Clinic from 2003 to 2007.

John Cavalcanti received a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix, where they studied from 2005 to 2007. Prior to that, they obtained a Veterinary Medicine Degree (VMD) from the Universidade Federal Rural de Pernambuco, where they studied from 1994 to 2000.
