Paul Brassil has a diverse and extensive work experience in the information technology field. Their most recent position is as Vice President of Information Security at The Village Bank since 2022. Prior to that, they served as the SVP/Chief Information Officer at Coastal1 Credit Union from 2020 to 2022. From 2013 to 2020, they held the role of Vice President of Information Technology at the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston, where they were responsible for central IT functions and led various IT innovation initiatives. Before that, they were the Senior Director of Solutions Delivery at EMC from 2009 to 2013, where they oversaw global application services. Paul also held leadership positions at Siemens IT Solutions and Services, Inc. from 2007 to 2009, and at EMC from 1999 to 2007 in the areas of infrastructure management services and hosting operations. Their early experience includes being the Senior Development Manager and Principal Software Engineer at SimplexGrinnell from 1994 to 1999.

Paul Brassil obtained a Master of Science degree in Computer Information Systems from Bentley University - McCallum Graduate School of Business. Paul also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Bridgewater State University. In addition to their formal education, Paul has earned several certifications such as Certificate of Achievement in Adjusting Entries and Debits and Credits from AccountingCoach, Implementing the NIST Risk Management Framework and Learning PowerShell from LinkedIn, and Blockchain Essentials for Developers from IBM. Paul has also completed various online courses and certifications related to network security, forensics, and Azure fundamentals.
