John Kelly

John Thomas Kelly is an experienced educational leader with a strong background in bilingual and international schooling. Currently serving as the Founder and School Director at Colegio Ikigai since January 2022, John focuses on inspiring students to discover their passions through a Phenomenon Based Learning approach. Previous roles include School Director at Instituto Thomas Jefferson México, Head of School at Colegio Británico de Cartagena, where strategic and operational leadership of a 700+ student body was successfully executed, and Academic Head at The Edron Academy. Early career as Head of English at La Escuela de Lancaster reflects a solid foundation in English education. John holds a PGCE from Durham University, a Master of Education in Leadership and Management from the University of Nottingham, as well as additional qualifications in educational leadership and journalism.
