Vanessa Wakeman

Vanessa Wakeman is the Founder and CEO of The Wakeman Agency, a premier communications and public relations agency. Vanessa has over 25 years of experience in the industry, including senior leadership positions at Morgan Stanley and Epstein Becker & Green, P.C.

Ms. Wakeman began their career at Morgan Stanley in September 1997 as a Senior Associate. In this role, they led a team of 34 full-time employees and outsourced partners responsible for all voice desktop technologies for the trading and business environments. Vanessa revitalized the credibility of the team by creating performance criteria that led to sustained excellence in communications, customer service and work product within 9 months of taking ownership of the group. Ms. Wakeman also managed a $10M annual budget and developed and executed communications plans to create on-going dialogue with internal customers.

In September 1992, Ms. Wakeman joined Epstein Becker & Green, P.C. as National Special Projects & Telecommunications Manager. In this role, they produced road shows to showcase new products and services to clients for feedback and buy-in, successfully managed multiple projects with aggressive business objectives, limited budgets and tight deadlines, and crafted presentations to support budget requests for new technology requirements.

Throughout their career, Ms. Wakeman has been an active leader within their organizations, presenting technology vision and project successes at Town Hall meetings and working closely with the Investment Banking, Fixed Income, Equity and Private Wealth Management Divisions on seasonal special projects.

Ms. Wakeman is a graduate of George Mason University.

Vanessa Wakeman has a BA in English from Hunter College and an MA in English from The City College of New York.
