Debbie Thomas has extensive work experience in the field of substance use disorder treatment and mental health services. Debbie has worked in various roles throughout their career, starting in 1988 at Talbert House as a Counselor and Operations Coordinator. Debbie then worked as a Women's Therapist at Clermont Recovery Center from 1990 to 1993. Debbie later joined Concern Plus, Bethesda Hospital as a Counselor, where they provided employee assistance counseling and conducted orientations. From 1995 to 2000, Debbie worked at Behavioral Health Management, Bethesda Hospital as a Treatment Coordinator and Quality Improvement Manager. Debbie was responsible for concurrent review, short-term disability management, and program development. In 2000, Debbie became the Director of Counseling and Therapy Services at Clermont Counseling Center, where they managed a staff of 25 individuals and oversaw grant applications, program development, and budgetary disbursement. From 2005 to 2008, they worked at the College of Southern Idaho as an Advisor for the Job Education Training Program, providing intake, assessment, and advising services. Most recently, Debbie held the position of Chief Executive Officer at Walker Center, a substance use disorder treatment facility, where they were responsible for the overall operation of the program, compliance with regulatory requirements, and management of financial and physical assets.

Debbie Thomas has a strong educational background in counseling and mental health. Debbie obtained a Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling/Counselor from the University of Cincinnati, completing their studies from 1996 to 1998. Prior to that, they pursued a Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Community and Agency Counseling from Xavier University, graduating in 1988. In their undergraduate years, they attended Wittenberg University from 1983 to 1987, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree with a dual major in Biology and English.

In addition to their formal education, Debbie Thomas has also acquired several certifications related to their field. Debbie is a Certified Alcohol/Drug Counselor as recognized by The Idaho Board of Alcohol/Drug Counselor Certification. Debbie is also an Internationally Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor, granted by The International Certification and Reciprocity Consortium. Furthermore, they hold a license as a Licensed Professional Counselor by the Idaho Board of Occupational Licensure. We offer a complete continuum of care — from medically supported and clinically managed residential withdrawal management to monitor detoxification and residential treatment for adults only to individual counseling and outpatient treatment for adolescents and adults. With locations in Twin Falls and Gooding, our vast array of services are individualized to meet the needs of many clients seeking help for alcohol and/or drug problems.
