Luke N. Vargas is an experienced audio producer and journalist, currently serving as the Audio Host/Producer for The Wall Street Journal's daily news podcast, "WSJ What's News," since December 2021. Prior to this role, Luke held positions as Senior Audio Producer at theSkimm, leading the weekly news podcast "Skimm This," and worked as a freelance audio producer for Vox Media, contributing to the "Pivot" podcast. Luke also has a significant background in news and reporting, having served as a Foreign Correspondent for Talk Media News, where notable achievements included hosting the daily newscast "The World in 2:00" and the show "Wake with Luke Vargas." Additional experience encompasses roles at the United Nations Bureau for Talk Radio News Service and various internships, including a research position with Project Vote Smart.
