Erin Mellott

Manager of Donor Relations & Development Operations at The Walters Art Museum

Erin Mellott has extensive work experience in various organizations. Erin currently serves as the Manager of Donor Relations & Development Operations at The Walters Art Museum since August 2019. Prior to this, Erin worked as the Manager of the Annual Fund at the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra from September 2017 to August 2019. Erin was responsible for overseeing annual solicitations and stewardship efforts for the organization, as well as acting as a liaison to Symphony society members and other volunteer groups.

Before joining the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, Erin worked at Johns Hopkins University as a Gift Planning Coordinator from July 2015 to August 2017. In this role, they supported a team of Gift Planning Advisors and handled administrative tasks such as calendar management, travel arrangements, and visit preparation. Erin also assisted with marketing efforts and managed RSVPs for the annual Johns Hopkins Legacy Society luncheon.

Their earlier experience includes working as a Regional Manager at Youth America Grand Prix from December 2012 to June 2015. There, they managed registration processes for local and international events, expanded the Dance in Higher Education program, and took on responsibilities such as venue identification, contract negotiation, and maintaining regular contact with venue representatives.

Erin also served as an Editorial Assistant at Words & Numbers in September 2012, where they created and edited instructional materials for adult and elementary education. Additionally, they worked at Audiology Unlimited as an Office Assistant from August 2011 to July 2012, where they maintained office organization, handled insurance claims, and prepared equipment and paperwork for tests.

Their experience also extends to internships, including working as a Campus Intern for InterVarsity Christian Fellowship/USA from July 2011 to June 2012. In this role, Erin met with students interested in starting a fellowship on campus, led weekly meetings, and assisted in planning outreach events. Erin also created a team of financial and spiritual support through fundraising and networking practices.

Lastly, Erin worked as a Qualitative Assistant at Baltimore Research from September 2010 to August 2011. Their responsibilities included assisting clients with administrative needs during market research studies, preparing interview and study spaces, and greeting and assigning participants.
