Lisa Anderson-Zhu has extensive experience in the art museum industry. Lisa worked as an Associate Curator at The Walters Art Museum from 2017, focusing on the art of the Mediterranean. Prior to that, they were employed at the Harvard Art Museums from 2010, where they held the position of Assistant Curator. During their time at Harvard, they worked on various projects, including completing a special collection and participating in the reinstallation of permanent galleries. Lisa also contributed to research, cataloging, and database updates. Before their role at Harvard, Lisa worked as an Assistant Editor for Monographs at the Journal of Roman Archaeology, where they gained experience in editing and fact-checking. Lisa began their career at the Rhode Island School of Design Museum of Art, first as a Curatorial Intern and later becoming a Curatorial Assistant. In this role, they worked with a wide range of ancient objects and had responsibilities such as research, cataloging, and leading tours.
Lisa Anderson-Zhu received their Bachelor's Degree in Latin and Classical Civilizations from the University of Montana from 1999 to 2002. Lisa then pursued their higher education at Brown University, where they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Archaeology and the Ancient World from 2002 to 2009.
