Virtual Group Coordinator at The WARM Place

Kelly Cox, BS, CCLS, GC-C is a Certified Child Life Specialist with extensive experience in providing child life services within the DFW community. Currently, Kelly serves as a Certified Child Life Specialist at Steady in Hope and AlēvCare Hospice, while also coordinating virtual groups at The WARM Place. Previous roles include working as a Child Life Specialist at Texas Health Resources and Community Healthcare of Texas, where emphasis was placed on supporting pediatric hospice patients and therapeutic activities for children. Kelly’s earlier experience includes internships and practicums that developed skills in communication, assessment, and support for children in medical and grieving contexts. Kelly earned a Bachelor's degree with a Child Development Emphasis of Child Life from Texas Woman's University.

The WARM Place

The WARM Place is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) agency that provides peer-support groups for children and their families after the death of a loved one. Founded in 1989, The WARM Place has companioned over 48,000 children and their families along their grief journey. Our program, led by trained volunteers, provides a safe environment for children to express feelings and emotions as well as the opportunity to meet with children and families who are experiencing situations similar to their own.
