Michael Penney

Michael Penney has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Michael has held positions such as CTO at The Washington Consulting Group, Inc., where they were involved in airport/spaceport operations and management, air traffic system management, and air traffic controller training. Michael also worked as a Book Author, specifically for the novel "The Gift of the Dragon", which received critical acclaim.

Additionally, Michael has experience in the education sector, having worked as a Particularly Helpful Moodler at Moodle.org, where they answered questions related to system integration and online learning using Moodle. Michael also served as the Global Head of Technology at Coaches Training Institute (CTI) and as the CTO at ECS LEARNING SYSTEMS.

Furthermore, they held the position of Chief Technology Officer at PREPWORKS, where they led technology development efforts for electronic learning platforms and spearheaded product development and testing. Michael also worked as the Vice President, Platforms and Products at Worldwide Moodle Partner Remote-Learner, contributing to the design, development, and deployment of online and blended learning products and services.

Michael Penney received their Bachelor of Arts degree in History from the University at Albany, SUNY from 1985 to 1989. Michael then pursued further education and obtained a Master of Science/Master of Arts degree in Biology/Education from Humboldt State University between 1996 and 2000. Additionally, Michael Penney has obtained certifications as a Certified ScrumMaster® from scrumalliance.org and as a Certified ScrumMaster® (CSM®) from Scrum Alliance®, both in August 2018.
